How did you meet?
Mike and I were set up through a mutual friend. It was the best first date I had ever been on.
How did the proposal happen?
Mike said we were going to dinner with his mom and stepdad on December 29,, 2018. I was getting ready – he made sure I didn’t miss one piece of hair to curl and continued to tell me what time we had to leave. While driving, he wouldn’t let go of my hand and I still did not think anything of it. When we arrived at his mom’s house, beautifully decorated for Christmas (later I realized it was for the engagement pictures), before I was able to go inside he stopped on the step and said “Danielle, will you marry me?” I said, “shut up” and thought he was kidding. He wasn’t – he knelt down on one knee with a ring, it was the real deal. When we finally got inside he had all of our closest family and friends there to surprise me and celebrate with us. It was perfect.
Why did you choose a Cescaphe Wedding?
Having been to many Cescaphe weddings previously and working with them on events, it was number one on my list. Mike had never experienced a Cescaphe wedding but once he heard about the food options, it was an easy yes for him.

What was your favorite part about wedding planning?
Everything. I am an event planner so it was so fun planning something that was meaningful to us.
What was your favorite part of your wedding?
We didn’t have a first look, so seeing each other down the aisle was my favorite part. The tears started – thank goodness for waterproof mascara. It was such a special moment that we got to share with all of our family and friends.

What did you do to make your wedding day extra special?
We wrote our own vows. It was so personal and made our day a little more special.
What advice would you give to future brides and grooms?
When you’re at your wedding, grab your groom, step back and take a minute to look around the room. You’ll see everyone that means something to you, loves you, and supports you having a great time, dancing, and being there to celebrate your future together.
